It was really inspiring to meet all the young people who had gained Duke of Edinburgh Awards from across the borough. The numbers embarking on the scheme are on the up here and across the region- but we are one of the few places that hold a full blown award ceremony. My job was to hand out badges to people gaining the Siver Award. The event was held at the Southport Convention Centre
